Overview of Rules
  • Begin with $100,000 cash
  • May borrow up to $100,000 at 7%
  • Earn 5% interest on cash balance unspent
  • Trade stocks and mutual funds on NYSE, AMEX or NASDAQ
  • Must buy a minimum of 100 shares
  • Minimum stock price of $5.00
  • Pay 2% broker’s fee
  • Receive stock price at close of market
  • Diversification – 5 stock minimum and 30% maximum equity rules
