The Kentucky Council on Economic Education is offering Hilliard Lyons Grants to schools to stimulate schoolwide involvement in investor education.
These grants will be offered to public and private schools (grades 4 through 12) who have 100 or more students participating in the Fall 2007 or Spring 2008 Stock Market Game or Take Stock in Kentucky programs. The grant will pay the fees up to $300 for team participation in either of these programs (4-6 students per team @$10/team) and will include a set of teacher resources, valued at $40.00.
Teachers are required to pre/post test students, participate in the Stock Market Game or Take Stock in Kentucky program, and prepare a final report.
There are a limited number of grants. Teachers who would like to apply for a grant for a Hilliard Lyons 100+ Club should complete the grant application and submit it no later than 8/30/2007 for the Fall program or by 1/7/08 for the Spring program.
