Stock Market Game Grants

Due to budget cuts in Kentucky schools, we are offering a  limited number of grants for 1 to 5 teams If you have exhausted all sources for funding, complete this Free teams application form today!  This grant opportunity will be available until funds are used up.

The Kentucky Council on Economic Education is offering Hilliard Lyons 100+ Club Grants to schools to stimulate schoolwide involvement in investor education.

These grants will be offered to public and private schools (grades 4 through 12) who have 100 or more students participating in the Fall 2007 or Spring 2008 Stock Market Game or Take Stock in Kentucky programs.  The grant will pay the fees up to $300 (30 teams) for team participation in either of these programs  (4-6 students per team @$10/team).

Requirements for Hilliard Lyons 100 + Club Grants:

  • At least 100 students participate

  • Teachers are required to pre/post test students (at least 1 class) www.kcee.org/testing

  • Participate in the Stock Market Game or Take Stock in Kentucky program,

  • Participate in InvestWrite essay competition and submit at least 5 essays

  • Prepare a final report within 2 weeks of end of program.

There are a limited number of grants.  Teachers who would like to apply for a grant for a Hilliard Lyons 100+ Club should complete the grant application and submit it no later than 9/15/2008 for the Fall program or by 1/15/09 for the Spring program.
