Spring Registration opens December 4
Courses begin January 27.
Rather than being yet one more thing to teach,
economics can be integrated into your everyday classroom routines,
lessons, and student activities. This class is designed to share
resources that you can implement in your classroom with ease. We will
explore activities, lessons, videos, and website resources that you can
use with your elementary students. The focus is on resources for students
in grades kindergarten through five.
Taking the Eeek Out of Economics:
Economics in the Elementary Classroom (grades K-5)
This is an
online professional development offered through e-Learning Kentucky.
This PD will introduce elementary classroom teachers to basic economic
concepts and principles that can be used in everyday lessons and

Program of Studies and Kentucky Core Content for Assessment

can be immediately integrated into elementary classroom instruction.
As a final product, participants will create an economics webliography.
