Thanks to everyone for submitting poems for KCEE's Financial Literacy Poetry
Contest sponsored by Citizens Union Bank. We received over 150 entries. Winners
will receive a $50 savings bond and congratulatory letter from Citizens Union
Bank and be invited to the KCEE Annual Excellence in Economic Education
Recognition Luncheon.!

Did
you know that April is Financial Literacy AND Poetry month? To celebrate,
the Kentucky Council on Economic Education (KCEE )and Citizens Union Bank (CUB)
invite students to enter their "Financial Literacy Poetry Contest".
Contest
Rules:
*Subject of poem must be focused on financial literacy (suggested vocabulary:
advertise, bank, budget, buy, checks, consumer, credit, debit, expenses, income,
investment, money, price, save, spend, wants, etc.)
*Poem must be student's original work.
*One entry per student
*Student agrees to allow KCEE to publish submitted poems online or in ther
publications.
Contest Dates:
Entries must by postmarked or submitted online by May 9, 2008.
Winners will by notified by May 14, 2008.
Prizes:
A $50 savings bond will be awarded to one winner in each of the following
divisions:
Division 1: Grades K-2
Division 2: Grades 3-5
Division 3: Grades 6-8
Division 4: Grades 9-12
