Welcome to
College Life!

Remember those great high school days? hall lockers, gym class,
lunchroom food-fights, demerits, detentions, standing in the corner for chewing
gum and nights with 30 minutes of homework.
Say hello to independence, course and schedule options, nights with four
to eight hours of homework and...personal responsibility...including financial responsibility.
For many college students, financial responsibility is a
whole new ballgame.
In middle and high school, you had "discretionary income".
That's money that you could use to buy nearly anything you wanted. You had
$20 bucks -- you spent it on a CD, or fast food, or a new sweater.

NOW...money takes on a whole new meaning.
NOW...money is what you earn (not
usually an allowance or gift anymore) and
NOW...you
have to consider whether you can spend that $20 on a CD, or should you use it
towards school books, or rent, or car insurance, or....some other financial
obligation.
In this short tutorial, we will
explore your relationship with money and
your spending style, let you create your own budget, and share tips on managing
your own finances.
