Mission Statement
KCEE’s mission is to champion teaching and learning economics and
personal finance with academic integrity, responsiveness, and creativity.

Vision Statement
Empowering all Kentuckians with economic and financial literacy for a stronger, competitive Commonwealth.

Kentucky Council on Economic Education (KCEE), is a 37-year-old statewide, not-for-profit headquartered in Louisville with office space generously provided by Citizens Union Bank. KCEE works with teachers, advocates and organizations to help Kentuckians develop the practical, life-long skills necessary in making good economic choices.

KCEE is an affiliate of the National Council on Economic Education (NCEE), an organization equipping teachers with the tools to bring economic and personal finance education to life for over 50 years.

Ranked 13th nationally in training educators to teach economics and personal finance in the classroom, KCEE strives to give Kentucky students a leading edge in economic education.  KCEE is the sole organization building teacher competency in the economics field.  KCEE-trained teachers create a multiplier effect that has impacted more than 1,000,000 Kentucky students over the course of 37 years.

KCEE is networked with six Kentucky university-hosted Centers for Economic Education offering graduate,  undergraduate courses and professional development for teachers who potentially reach tens of thousands of Kentucky students each year.
